I was hoping to interact with you folks.
What’s your tequila of choice?
I’ve been using that Hornitos handle from Costco (excellent), but I think the 1L Casamigos Blanco is a better value at $38.

Get a liter of Arrete or Cimarron blanco for around $20. Both good traditionally made tequilas, great for margaritas. If you can’t find those, Esponol and Omeca altos are good, regular size bottles, around $20-25 for margaritas. If you go up in price, you can get some good sippers. Casamigos is made with artificial sweeteners, that’s the added vanilla taste, some like it, some don’t.

I would love to find some freshly squeezed lime juice. I hate juicing limes - especially when I get a bad batch of them.

Where can you find 100% fresh lime juice?

I do them almost every night. My low carb version is Orange LA Croix, Blanco Tequila, and fresh lime juice

If you don’t juice them yourself, it ain’t fresh.

Limes without much juice.

We’ll I’d like a half gallon of freshly squeezed lime juice. I’d pound some margs then.

Get a citrus juicer.

Try and pick limes that are smooth, shiny, and a little squishy.

Get the kirklands margarita mix, comes in 2 pack. Not the mix that includes alcohol. Juervo gold, why waste good tequila with something your going to cover up with sugar. Add a splash of orange juice. Shake with ice to get frothy. So easy and delicious. If you want to work for it, follow Alton browns recipe. These are the best, but like I said, a little work.

Imma let you finish, but I want to nominate a mojito as well.

A mint julep is in the running as well, but I don't find them as refreshing as a mojito.

This. My favorite Mexican place has a good happy hour. I think the house Margarita (frozen or rocks) is $3.50. Mojito is $4. I always get the Mojito.

Sazon in Miami makes the best damned mojito I have ever had and I've been to Havana. It's perfection. Cuban Diner.

I'm with you, a mojito on a hot day is amazing. A bartender in Jamaica introduced me to putting a light swirl of coconut creme in a Mojito, it was a damn good addition in the tropics.

I like them, margaritas and also a couple shots gin, a few ounces of Sprite and a squeeze of lemon or lime over ice on hot days.
