That looks pretty bad. I saw some pictures on FB that were equally as bad. I hope they can rebuild and reopen.

And they had added on within the past few years. It was really good

It is a true shame. One of the finest seafood restaurants in America.
It’s hard to believe this place is now 33 years old. Harbor Seafood (est. 1987) and its adjacent seafood market, Fisherman’s Cove (est. 1981), were set up for success when the Esplanade Mall (est. 1983) flourished. Located at the main entrance to the mall from I-10, regulars watched the slow erection of its posterior parking lots through the addition of empty oyster shells. Over the decades, millions of bivalves have been cleaned there and transported to the parking lot, forming a shell minden that rivals ancient Native American mindens.
During one summer, our dear friend, Ba Ba Booey, was responsible for pouring a slab of concrete for the restaurant's coolers near the back parking lot. Using shovel and pick, he tirelessly made way through those compacted shells. I hope against hope his work did not go up in flames.

I hope they saved the alcohol.

Used to go there years ago when I lived in Kenner. Stand out in the parking lot waiting for a table, breathing in the exhaust of the cars waiting at the red light only 20 feet away. And getting deafened by the jets flying a coup!e of hundred feet above our heads as they landed and took off at Moisant.

The restaurant is always packed and IMO the seafood market is one of the best in the New Orleans area. I was there yesterday at the seafood market buying fish to take home to cook. Great place. Hope they come back soon.
