Had one of the best meals I’ve ever had at Peche

I think they may have used the time off to regroup and perfect some things because the last two times I’ve been to Peche it was “fine” but last night it was absolutely unbelievable.

The tuna crudo was a new preparation and was extremely high quality. The drum was also a preparation of drum I haven’t had from them and was one of the single most tasty dish I’ve had in this city in awhile. The steak tartare is always delicious, and the oysters were perfect.

Maybe it was just good to be back to restaurants but I’ve rarely been so satisfied by a meal.

Awesome. Their crudo offerings are always spectacular.

I’m going to have to go back there someday.

In my 3 day visit last February it was my least favorite place.

I don't know of any other restaurant that I've been to over a handful of times where every dish I've had was extraordinary. I've experienced some sort of glitch at the finest restaurants like Commanders, but for whatever reason, Peche fires on all cylinders. I'm not a swordfish fan but during one visit it was their fish of the day. I decided to try it and it was the best swordfish I've had in my life. Prewitt knocks it out of the ballpark which makes me keep coming back. I can honestly say that each of my New Orleans visits includes a meal here.

We had the drum, steak tartare, oysters, Brussel sprouts, smoked tuna dip and caramel cake Friday night. All excellent.
