Oyster house at Boardwalk is a tourist trap IMO. I had Eat lunch buffet once but I need to try it again if they are pimping TD! I love the Ginny Lane beer dinners.

Just a few miles north of Gulf Shores is Lambert's Cafe, home of the throwed rolls.

It's just an overcrowded meat and 3 restaurant with just OK food. Don't know why this place always gets recommendations.

Head toward Ft. Morgan and see the fort. Take the ferry across the bay to Dauphin Island and the Estuarium. The kids will like it and it is a good way to spend a day.

On your way to Ft. Morgan, eat at the Behind the Pines restaurant. Very good and all hand made.

True. It's basically a Cracker Barrel. It's just cool and something you "have to do" while in Gulf Shores.

Big O's is pretty solid.

I would agree, but it's not there anymore. I think the place there now is called Mezza Luna.

Headed to gulf shores on Wednesday. The wife and I thought our 4 year old would enjoy lambert's, so we are going to go one day.

Do people feel that it is a great place for kids because they throw rolls?
Sorry, I just don't get the draw.
