For those of you that have a griddle or grill on your inside range, do you like it? Are you happy you got it? Which one do you have? (grill or griddle) . How hard are they to clean? I feel like it would be a mess with all the drippings.

Thanks! Trying to decide if I want a 36" range/oven plus a wall oven/microwave or a 48" range/double oven and a separate microwave. All the 48" I look at, have the grill/griddle for 2 burners.

TIA

They're hard to clean.

One layed on the stove top across two burners is better.

Look at an outdoor propane griddle, Blackstone.

We have a DCS 48" with six burners and a griddle. I don't use it as much as I could. It can be not to say difficult to clean but it's easier to move a cast iron griddle to the sink for cleaning. I do like having it though. Don't think I would have an indoor grill because that would definitely be a bitch to clean. A friend had one and it always looked a mess.
If you can do 8 burner that would be better with a griddle you could determine how you want to use. Back to front or side by side.
I definitely love having the two ovens, one smaller and one full size.

I'm wondering if I can use the "grill" like a giant burner when I cook big pots of gumbo in my magnalite oval roasting pot/pan

ETA: Looking at this one:

Maybe! Someone who has that setup would have to answer that.
If that's the case just get eight burners. Sometimes when cooking I don't like having something else right next to the pot/burner I'm using.

I have 4 burners and a gas grill in the middle. I love it. I use it a lot. Yes, you have to take it apart to clean it, but it's not really hard. It has a drip pan deal. I had to get a strong vent, but it's great. It sucks up everything.

Before I had 4 gas burners and an electric grill and griddle in the middle. It had the grill piece if you wanted to grill and the griddle you put on if you wanted that. I rarely used it. I didn't like it at all. I wouldn't have an electric one again.

The house I grew up in, and learned to cook in, had a massive Wolf Gas range with 6 burners over a wide oven, and a thinner oven with a broiler above it and a griddle on top. I loved it. I could cook 25 pancakes at once. I was simple to clean off. There was a channel along the side and a hole to scrape into, and a metal container/bowl that removed for cleaning.
