I mean.. 
With it that vague, just sort Yelp by most popular restaurants.
I like Elsie’s, Rocca, Ruth’s, Umami, DiGuilios, City Pork, Rouj Creole, Cocha.. to name a few.

My staples:
Sushi/Hibachi: Ichiban
Hamburger: curbside
Italian: monjuni's for the sweet sauce
Others: Francois Cafe (bluebonnet - this is nostalgic from when he was in Zachary), Ruth's Chris for more of a fine dining, Stab's on Jefferson, Little Village (airline in Pville or downtown), Bistro Byronz (gov't or perkins).

Try Eliza on Jefferson Highway ... behind the CC's Coffeehouse.
It's Cajun-Creole Food. They have some pretty good dishes. Very good drinks at the bar, too.
