Got a group coming in for game and they want something other than Georges. Please advise.

Had JED’s Local for the first time last weekend and it was awesome. They have your usual contenders but also some interesting other ones.

I had the Jeds Special (not my photo) which was awesome.

I always like Mike Andersons fried shrimp, but the fried oyster poboy there is the most popular.

It’s only about a year (?) old. Owned by the people who own Eliza.

Yeah it's been open about a year. They make great traditional poboys as well as some creative ones. I had the Thanksgiving poboy last week and it was really good!

JED's is the answer you're looking for.

Saddest excuse for a shrimp poboy I have ever had. I will never understand the love they get on this board.

Ate at Phil’s two weeks ago. Much, much improved

Peter is really making his mark. The boudin balls were excellent and he has a crab and Brie grilled cheese sandwich with a cup of tomato basil soup that was fantastic

Another vote for Jeds here. Good stuff.

Anyone gone for their fried chicken night? I've been meaning to try it.

Agree that JED's seems overrated, at least for seafood po-boys. Only been once, but was so disappointed from that visit, haven't had the urge to try again. And we like Eliza. Lots of bread and little protein, I had oyster, wife grilled shrimp. Both were lacking, needing. That said, LL's pictures looks really good, if the actual po-boy measures up. One day we'll give it another try. Hate to judge a place from one visit.
