Layover for a while at the airport and we're looking for somewhere good to eat breakfast here in Nola.

You planing on leaving the airport and going all the way to NOLA ?

Around the airport there isn't much outside of Dots diner, American something diner, pho bang, pho sunshine, and Buds Broiler.

U got time for 2 good meals.

If it was me, I would have breakfast at Elizabeths.... Cruise around the Quarter, then grab a sandwich at Butcher on way back to airport.

That's not a layover, that's a day trip. Hope you're going some place real nice and got a super cheap ticket for that layover.

How was the game?

As for the question in the OP, I say catch a cab into the city and the world, as they say, is your oyster.

Have a cousin that owns the place among a few other restaurants on the Northshore. Interweb reviews are less than stellar but yelp people usually suck at life anyway. Wondering how this place was? Only been to his other, the Camellia Cafe. It was pretty good.
