Go to Fat Cow and get a burger ... and then be disappointed. They cook to one temperature: well done. Crappy pre-formed patties that are over-cooked. I get tired of this same old beef.
I will say though that it is seasoned fairly well, the bun is delicious, and the duck fat fries are legit.

I agree with all of this except the duck fat fries. No duck fat flavor, and the portion is about 1 cup for $5.

The Duck Fat Fries upcharge is the new Kobe Beef Hamburger in the restaurant world.

Tramonte's is the best burger in Baton Rouge. Fat Cow is average, at best.

Woah there.
Their service still needs to be upgraded. Took almost 30 mins to get my order of two burgers and fries.
Got a shake and it wasn't even full but it was fully melted.

I was waiting for some awesome flavor to come through. They were really good but would like to compare them with the regular fries.

I think it is Otis or one of those other Northern La(you know above I-10) folks that said they could get some duck fat in "volume", I want to get some if they will get it for me and deliver at the first home game or so. I want to try a few things with that stuff.

Have a jar of it in fridge. when I get whole ducks at grocery store I try to save as much skin fat as possible and then render it on in a saucepan with a 1/4 cup of water.
But the gallons of duck fat that would be needed by a place like Fat Cow or anyone else doing high volumes of duck fat fries would be so cost prohibitive.
ETA: It is most likely pork fat they are frying in if anything different at all. Domenica has a specific fryer filled with rendered pork fat that they fry the little pillows of dough they serve with their charcuterie plates.

Just went. Great burger. Good fries. People on this board are ridiculous.

It had better be damn good for 7 bucks for just a bacon cheese burger

Go just down the road to Mason's.

Yeah I can think of at least 10 burgers better than Tramonte's. There is so much red pepper in their burgers, I can barely taste burger. Plus it's cooked to a nice medium burnt.

Has anyone gotten something other than the 120? I'm looking to expand my order

I got the smoke stack yesterday. It was great, only thing was I wished it would have had a little bit more BBQ sauce on it. The bacon they put on it is awesome though...probably the thickest, crunchiest bacon I've ever had the pleasure of chowing down on

If no one from this board ever tries the $100 burger....I'll feel that my work here is done.

Tramonte's rules. Unbelievable burger and hamburger steak.
