me too, I looked. But I guess sometimes making a calculated mistake ordering something that takes 30mins to cook may not work out in their favor.

Ate at the Giordano's one stop off the airport. Train and one uber. Order when you leave the airport and it should be ready, I would think.

Or you can do it really cheap and take The Westin shuttle and just walk next door.

Two places mentioned are probably a 5 min uber from the airport.

Ah, sorry, didn’t see that your layover isn’t long enough to venture further.

Surprised thet don't have one or the other in the airport.

I thought there was one in Midway, but now that I think about it, I'm thinking of the Potbelly there.

Just saw you were flying into Midway. That looks like a 5-10 minute walk.

probably .. but traversing off the Airport there may be challenging. Uber seems reasonable for my lazy arse.

Yea as recommended do Lou and order it when you are getting off the plane and say you will be there to pick it up. Then by the time you get there it will be close to ready.

4 hours is a long time, so you could also just take your time

Get in at noon,

Arrive at restaurant 12:30

Order at 12:45

Eat from 1:15-2

Back to airport by 2:15

Flight at 4

That's easy

I think Lou's is significantly better than Giordano's. I am not a huge fan of deep dish in general but obviously there is a novelty to it and it is worth trying to cross off your list.

I moved to Illinois recently and work with several people who grew up in Chicago. I live within a mile of a Giordano’s and have only been once.

Lou Malnati’s....hands down. I’m not a fan of deep dish. Their thin crust is excellent.

Agreed except about malnatis thin

The two best pizzas I’ve had in Chicago were from Piece which is far too far for this midway flier and nick and Vito’s which is a 10 min drive from midway.

After living in Chicago I grew to hate Chicago deep dish. The thought repulsed me now. Pequods is ok but if I have to eat deep or pan I’m going with dominos every time

We've been to the one in Orlando several times. You can also have them shipped frozen.

I went to Gio's and loved it. My friends in Chicago told me that they refuse to go to gio's and only go to Lou's. I would pick whichever one is more convenient to get to. As others have said, even if the place is empty, the pies take a while to make. Make sure you have some time.

Lou Malnati’s for sure. All I can say about Giordano’s is that it is really big and heavy. Other than that, Gio’s was not all that impressive to me.
