Exactly. My grandmother (the daughter of Sicilian immigrants through Ellis Island) loved this place and lived not far away, in the Capital Heights area behind Calandro's. She loved to be taken there for special occasions, like her birthday, in the 80s and 90s.
She got too old to live alone in BR in the mid-90s, so we moved her to the Acadiana area around that time. What year did it close? :sad face:
