Based on something purely subjective
The movement is greater than any movement in the world, in terms of beer. There are no waves or changes in the old countries. America is now doing things with beer that no one can or even tried to do. Some things, specifically hops, foreign beers simply can't touch due to availability of hops and climate. Also, the amount of growth in the craft beer market is off the charts, while imports are rising slightly, and big beer is shrinking. All in all, a good thing for purveyors of fine malted beverages.
So in short, American Craft Beer is the best in the world.
IMO

As a side note America has better weed than Holland.

I don't think you can say that American beer is the best just because there are more different beers made in the US than in any other country. If you pick up a random Belgian beer and a random American beer, the Belgian beer has a much better chance of being good than the American beer does.
Not to mention, any swill will get good reviews on this board as long as it is overpoweringly hoppy.

With a tagline like that, i'd have to presume you're partial in some manner of sorts!

Not at all. I support all craft beer, no matter the skin color.

Example? You mean like Amnesia IPA?

eh...that all depends where you are in America and if you remove BMC from this equation

Hell, if you had a faceoff between pliny the elder of Russian River and Westy 12, i'd have to think more might buy Pliny that Westy, but it all depends on your taste.
If cost were the same I'd go with Westy... but it's close.
I love Belgian beers, though, really got into craft beer through Belgian styles first before getting into other stuff.
That said, if I could only drink beer from one country for the rest of my life, it's USA in a heartbeat.
Belgium is still #2 though... not sure who's next.

With that logic: even though new york may have some of the best restaurants in the world, it also has some of the worst. Therefore it cannot be the best food city (or even close to the best) in the world becuase I may go blind all of a sudden and walk into a shitty Chinese restaurant that serves week old cat.

I could have written this. It's spot on for me.
But asking me which I like better: Westy or Pliny is like asking me which I like better: pizza or cheeseburgers. I can't really pick. It depends on the day.

3) Ireland
4) Germany

Cry all you want, it doesn't change the facts. There are good American beers, but to say American is the best requires a lot of rationalization.

Germany would be much lower for me... I respect what they do, I just don't go crazy about it.

Wrong. The food metaphor would be that Houston has better food than New Orleans because there are more restaurants and a handful of them are as good as the best New Orleans restaurants.

how is Canada's beer scene? I know they have Unibroue, which is fantastic, but not much more familiar with anything else.

I think a lot of that has to do with hundreds of years of brewing weeding out bad brews.
Parts of southern Belgium and northern France have their fair share of bad beer. Lots of redneck farmers making beer in their barns and selling it to local bars.
