Never been. Saw on Open Table after confirming reservations that jacket is preferred. Will I feel out of place with dress pants and a button-down?

No, but it is a pretty nice place.

Is there any reason you can't wear a jacket?

Its not necessary though.

There are only 3 places I feel compelled to wear a jacket and that is not one of them.

If you wear flip flops, make sure your toe nails are clipped.

I agree. The majority of men there will not be wearing a jacket in June.

Just got back. Fantastic dinner. I did wear a jacket...at a quick glance, 50% of the men were wearing coats. And those 50% were all 50+ year olds if I had to guess. I would feel comfortable without.

Started with a chilled beet soup with jumbo lump crab meat. Wife got some type of hamachi. I got a breaded flounder which was great and my wife got the red snapper. Shared a banana split sundae and had some cocktails/wine. Service was excellent. It was lively when we got there at 9pm, but it’s definitely old-school New Orleans dining in respect to atmosphere. Would go again.

Great to hear. I hate it’s been decades since I was there.Really a great restaurant. One of the city’s finest.
