He's a nice guy .. but he was way way way undercapitalized and his silent partner just didn't wanna put anymore up ... He kind of over did it $$$-wise with the build out ...

I called that like five weeks ago on Tigah Rag's restaurant closing thread.

Spent a little too much of the start up capital on unnecessary things, IMO, cash ..

The shrimp bong did him in. I knew they would never make it after I ate that thing. Nice guy, but he lacked restaurant experience.

Where is that Zombie guy? He loved the place.

Let's just say there are bigger plans for Dingo's in the works in BR. It is closing at that location, yes. But he isn't going out of business.

The most disapointing $10 I have spent in a resturant in a long time

Right on cue. I kind of liked his fish tacos before he downgraded his fish.

Didn't he lose enough money already? I predict the new place will be more of a bar/beach shack kind of place. If he is going that far out, I predict failure. He would be better served opening a fun joint near LSU. Then again, what the hell do I know about running restaurants.

Just wanted to dispell any rumour that he was permanently going out of business.

And he never changed his fish fwiw. Fish was way too thick to be tilapia and not like mahi is so much more expensive.

I never had the shrimp bong, but I doubt a restaurant would fail based on one app.

Never ate there, but purely from what I saw on here and heard from a couple of other people I know, place sounded way to concepty/gimmicky to really gain any sort of long term traction.

So there is no difference between relocating and shutting down.

Edit: I will say early inconsistency in the kitchen and a very high turnover rate for servers is never a good thing. His kitchen definitely got better with time, but everytime I ate there, there seemed to be a completely different wait staff.

I think the only restaurant that every did well consistently in that location was Abe's. I think the reason they went out of business was the fact the co-owners "split up". From what I understood their business was usually pretty good,
