Centered around an $8 spicy chicken sandwich, located in the original Momofuku Noodle Bar, and it's getting rave reviews. Yeah, it's pricy...but it is NYC, after all. I'm wondering if this will take off enough to get national attention. I can't see the regular joe paying $8 for this sandwich ($12 for the sandwich/fries combo).

I bet that explodes. Been saying for a while fried chicken, in any medium, is going to be the next hamburger. In that it will be re-discovered by chefs and elevated.

hoping to head to NYC in October, and this will be on the list to hit up.

I'm a chang fan, so i'm hoping it lives up to the hype. the only thing I haven't liked from Chang has been Ma Peche, which was the most disappointing meal I've ever had in NYC.

Heading to NYC in 2 months for 5 days, which seems like both way too long and not enough time.

What's the point of the bread? Do NYers need their fried chicken in the form of a sandwich to make it seem like a cheffy riff on fast food? Can't we just earnestly like fried chicken for its own sake? Seriously though, the bun seems as pointless as those wedge fries.

Uh...places like Company Burger have just as expensive if not more expensive burgers and the line is always insane.

My guess is fried chicken is not an acceptable lunch time hand food, for some bizarre reason in the 5 boroughs. I know of someone around here who is moving in the fried chicken direction, but not in sandwich form. Will be stoked if it pans out.

It's a fried chicken thigh on a bun. Why is this news? What is so great about this?

It's amazing that you can attach a celebrity name to a fried chicken sandwich and it's a new story.

To be fair, both Eater reviewers really liked it. They both say its a damn good chicken sandwich and a nice spot for a casual lunch.

The guilt is strong in NYC. How else are 1%'s expected to blend in with the unwashed masses?

I think the $12 is for sandwich, fries, and drink?

Otherwise, just order the $11 sandwich and fries.

This one in New Orleans is $16, with fries no drink.

It is delicious too

So you eat half of it as a regular piece of chicken and then the other half is a sandwich?
