Video

Where the heck would you get soft shell shrimp? You'd have to be a shrimper, I guess.

Edit: I just noticed the guy said Louisiana Crawfish Company had them - 24 shrimp for $24.99!

I didn't know that was a thing until I visited some family in Grand Isle one weekend. They served that and it blew my mind.

Looks good.

He needs Kige to help him with his video production quality.

Last 40lb ice chest I deheaded had 4 or 5 in it. I popped the heads off and threw them in with the rest of them. Maybe I'll keep some to fry next time I run across some

I've never understood the appeal of eating anything "soft shell" other than crab. Crawfish and shrimp are great shelled when fried, so why eat them with the shell on? I ask this seriously, not sarcastically. I genuinely am interested.

I think the appeal is more on the prep side than the eating side.

So, I have never had soft shell crab before. Just read about it. Interesting that they are soft while essentially molting into a bigger shell. Also, let me get this straight, you take a live crab and step 1 is to rip it's face off?! Jeez, it's good to be at the top of the food chain.
