Veal parm was terrible. Chicken parm was bad. Alfredo was ok. bread may have been the best part of the meal.

Veal Marsala was dry and tough. No way I would order this again.

Chicken Madomia, great flavor. However, Chicken (not the founder and owner of TigerDroppings) tasted as if it was boiled. It was dry and tough to cut, despite being thinly sliced chicken breasts. No searing or grill marks. That said, we would order this dish again, only because of the flavor. The broccoli was really good mixed in.

Meatballs, no way these are homemade as we were told. If they are, change your recipe. One could easily tell these were microwaved. Don't waste your money.

If there is a desire to strive to make great dishes, don't put crap like this meatball side on your menu. It only detracts from what you are wanting to accomplish. And the meatball dish shouldn't come out 5 minutes after the first two dishes that we received.

The bread was very good and probably the best thing that we ate.

Service was good for just starting out. We were seated promptly, which is a considerable improvement from the last time we stepped foot in there when it was the Italian Bowl.

We'll go back. We want to see this business become and stay successful as we like having an Italian option in Prairieville. But we're not in a hurry to get back.

So far none of the reviews make me want to go... I went to Sliders despite bad reviews because it was a sports bar

If you look at their Facebook page, they have 17 reviews. All 5 *s.

I must have caught them on an "off" night.

I think it was for a different location, maybe in Central?

yeah, i really wanted to like this place. I want something to survive there. But, my review was honest. the food just wasn't good. I will try to give them another shot , not sure i can convince the family to go back.

Also, they really need a noticeable sign by the road. most people probably don't even know the place is there.

That location has been a death sentence for many. Visibility is poor at best, so a sign at the road and an advertisement on a billboard is needed to help with their online marketing efforts.

And what is this guy still doing etched on the glass that divides the bar and dining area?

I thought Italian Bowl was pretty damn good and they didn't make it, so good luck.

The food at I.B. was never the issue. The service and timeliness were. Simply put, the owner was a good cook but didn't know how to run or lead a business and its employees.

Oh without a doubt you are correct.

It's shame too. My wife and I really enjoyed the food and it was close enough that I could imbibe on quite a few martinis.

Had a good meal here tonight so wanted to share.

Hard to beat a 16oz ribeye cooked to a perfect med rare for $19. Could've used some additional seasoning but overall a good steak. Wife had the chicken marsala and seemed to enjoy it but wasn't anything spectacular. We got the kids a pepperoni pizza. Pizza had a nice crust with good balance of crispness and pull. Wasn't too greasy or oversauced. The bread with dipping oil was really good. Plenty of food and we ended up boxing half of it up to bring home. We'll be going back.

-16oz ribeye
-Chicken Marsala
-12" Pepperoni Pizza
-Dipping Oil
-Soft drink
-Glass of wine
-2 kids' drinks
$62 before tip.

This place is horrible. Service was garbage, no mixed drinks, food tasted like a frozen dinner. Really want to like this place, but we will not be going back. At least Italian Bowl's food was really good, even though the service sucked.

We all wore Goonies shirts and ate there. Kept throwing out lines from the movie that nobody got. Food was garbage.

I've been to Fratellis a couple of times since my last visit (and post in this thread).

For the most part, service has been average to good. Not having someone full-time at the front hostess station to greet guests - I get why they are doing this - but eliminate the hostess station. No need for it.

Waitresses need more training on their menu when customers ask a question. An excuse that I am "new" and don't know the answer to several questions falls strictly on the manager and/or owner. Don't let your staff deal with customers until they know the menu front and back.

That's really the only criticism I can give to them. They're very friendly and do their best to put out a good product at a reasonable price point and they're quick on service (compared to Italian Bowl).

Their Alfredo sauce is very good, so I tend to stick with this dish and add grilled chicken to it. The grilled chicken could be improved - either it is sliced too thinly or it doesn't get the brown marks that one would like to see for plating presentation.

All-in-all, I will continue to support them. They're not perfect, far from it. But I can deal with it as long as their spirit and intent are pointed in the right direction, which I have no reason to believe it isn't.

Will you just a glutton for punishment or you have a stake in this place?

All of your posts point out the food is far from good.

My most recent post from today is only the second time I have shared my dining experience inside this thread.

I was critical the first time I posted my review, but I was also fair in my assessment. Same goes for today's post.

If the owner reads this thread and I suspect they do -- this is an opportunity for them to continue doing the things they do very well and improve upon the things that need improving.

I will say that the employees at Fratellis all appear to be happy or present themselves to be and this alone is a 100 x improvement over how the former restaurant owner at Italian Bowl treated his employees.
