I need a good recommendation for lunch in downtown Fort Worth. A casual spot something like BBQ or Mexican food

Downtown doesn't have any BBQ or Mexican to write home about.

Second the recs on Heim and Joe T's.

Both are a quick drive from downtown--and both will have lines with this weather.

Joe T's food isn't going to blow you away, but it's hard to beat that patio in this weather.

Downtown: Reata may fit your Southwest/TexMex needs.

Good luck!

Mediocre at best but they do have a nice patio. For good messican in the Stockyard area, where Joe T's is too, Los Asaderos or Los Paisanos.

Not downtown, but my wife (no pics) and I usually eat at Charleston for lunch when we're in FW.

Great call. Not either BBQ or Mexican, but damn good food.

A block away is The Bearded Lady and they are cranking out damn, damn good food of late.

Also right there is Tinies; damn good authentic Mexican (not sure if they do lunch?). Give them a shot if you haven't already.

And in that same little block is Brix BBQ and Panther City is a few blocks away, as well.

Holla next time you're gonna be in the area and we'll have a beer or 7.

I’m in this camp. Those burnt ends with jalapeños and bacon. Not sure my cardiologist would be thrilled but I can eat those things like candy.

Another vote for Panther City. But worth the short drive to Goldee’s, tell them I sent ya!
