What brand do you have, how is the price point and does it work well? Also, which accessories came along with it?
I'm getting one for Christmas but my kitchen is TINY and storage space is pretty much maxed out...I'm seeing a lot on Amazon that come with beakers and food processors and stuff. I already have a processor and don't have the room for a second one.
Any recommendations on wand-only immersions, or ones that come with minimal accoutrement (or at least stuff that is interesting or useful)?

I think mine is a Braun.

Came with a small food processor attachment and a whisk attachment..I've had it for over ten years.

I have one by Cuisinart. It has a whisk attachment that I've never used. Im not sure if I ever will. I'm not sure what good a spinning whisk is. I think I can probably work a whisk better by hand.
It works fine but it has a childproof feature. You have to press and hold a button on top in order to get the power buttons to work. I don't like that. If I had it to do over, I'd buy a different one.

I have a Braun and it has a very small footprint for easy storage, not taking up more than a few sq. inches of cabinet space. The base is no more than about 3 inches across, if that, and stands about 12 in. tall.
It works great for soups and sauces. Just last week I made a homemade potato/leek soup for the wife and near the end of cooking time I used it to thoroughly blend the soup and emulsify the vegetables and it worked like a charm.

Bamix. It has a wall mount hanger if you’d rather not store in a drawer.

I have a $25 cuisinart. It works, but I had to tape down the stupid safety button so I can use it with one hand. I'd look at another brand.

I have a kitchen aid that came with a whisk and chopper attachment. We use the chopper more than anything, it’s better and easier to clean than the food processor we have.

Cuisinart
Comes with the whisk and blending attachment. The whisk can come in handy if you're making cheese sauces or quick emulsions with a good amount of liquids.
The only thing I don't like about it, and it may be a problem with most immersion blenders, is if you don't have enough 'stuff' to immerse it into, it throws shite everywhere due to the blade being a good bit above the bottom of the guard.
