Foo definitely better than Cane's. They buy fresh tenders. Fries are slightly better too.

Zaxby’s is by far the worst. Borderline inedible.

I've never understood the obsession with Canes Sauce. I wish they had more sauce options.

As someone from Metairie who went to South Alabama for college, this is a monthly debate in Alabama.
The ONLY thing I like better at Canes is the toast.
The chicken is bigger at Canes but it's crispier and more flavorful at Foo. If you like thicker fries than Foo is your place, thinner go for Cane's. The Foo sauce is very similar to Cane's sauce, however Foo has like 5 different sauces, all homemade except for BBQ. The Ice is softer and better for chewing than Cane's. You can get a salad, your fingers tossed in buffalo sauce, a sandwich at Foo, so more variety.
That being said, there is nothing wrong with Canes, they make some pretty good chicken tenders, though IMHO they used to be a lot better about 10-15years ago.

Place is awful
I also don't understand the Cane's hate. Sure, the portions have gotten smaller, but the food is good

The chicken is fine, but fries and slaw are pretty terrible (two foods I normally love). Fries are so mealy and soggy that I have a hard time accepting they come from a fryer. Tastes like frozen fries you stick in the oven.
