Peg Leg Pete's in pcola beach is pretty strong. nice location as well. Casual and not too expensive but better than average food.

Fisher's in Orange Beach. Not P'cola, but worth the 20 minute drive.

We ate downstairs on Sunday evening. Probably should have eaten upstairs since it was $140, before tip, for three adults and a child anyway. I had the 'blackened' fish tacos. They weren't very good. We had a 'market price' app, fried crab claws, that were $28. They were good though. It was neat down there, drinks mainly ran the bill up so upstairs may have been much worse.

The upstairs menu looked good.

I liked the Grand Marlin. I did not like Peg Legs at all. In spite of the cheesiness I have always had a good steak at Mcguire's. I definitely agree with checking out Joe Patti's. Take a ice chest for fish to go and they have a little sushi bar and restaurant on site. I

Grand Marlin for seafood. Been there a dozen times and it's always great.

Surf Burger is good for burgers.

McGuires Irish Pub for heavy bar food. Steaks are actually pretty good too.

Had sushi at Mandarin Moon a few months ago. Was pleasantly surprised.

Stay away from Peg Leg Petes....it's a terrible tourist trap.

Grand Marlin is the best restaurant on the island (i.e. Pensacola Beach). If the OP is asking about Pensacola proper, I recommend Global Grill. And I agree that the steaks at McGuire's are excellent.

Agreed that Grand Marlin are the nicest place on the island. This time of year, a 7:00 reservation at Grand Marlin and arriving early for a drink at the bar to enjoy the sunset and live music is nice. For lunch on the island we enjoy Native Cafe for the fish tacos.

Going downtown Global Grill is your best bet. Some of our favorites there are the chips w blue cheese/bacon/red pepper ketchup, tempura fried asparagus, the lamb lollipops, chiles rellenos, blue cheese stuffed filet, and pesto crusted salmon.

We usually return on a Sunday and hit up Hopacks downtown for their half-off all drafts all day Sunday. Then over to Joe Pattis and back to New Orleans.

ETA: Has anyone tried "IRON"? It's a bit out of the way but gets great reviews.

Fish House - Shrimp & Grits a Yaya

Jaco's on Palafox at the end of the street on the waterfront

Pegleg's is at least worth visiting for some oysters and cold draft.

McGuire's is consistently good.
