Fleur de Lis closed until Tuesday, lack of employees

Just called to get one to pick up and the voicemail was the owner apologizing for being closed and saying how upset she was over it. Kind of an odd thing to make the voicemail but damn, can’t even get a few people to come in a toss some pizzas is rough.
Have they been closed other times this summer over the same issue?

They’re still there making sure nobody parks in their parking lot. frick them.

That place is to pizza like McDonald’s is to hamburgers. The only people that think it is good pizza are people who grew up in BR.

Not exactly sure your McDonald’s analogy is hitting the mark but I guess that makes me one of those since I’m local

If the owners really cared, they’d be in there answering phones and making pizza.
Posted on 6/24/22 at 6:36 pm to Ed Osteen
I know they stopped opening for lunch like a year ago bc of staffing issues.

McDonald’s might not be the best comparison, it it does not taste like traditional pizza. Reminds me a bit of grammar school pizza.

Not sure. But that pizza sucks. Wouldn’t really be bad if they closed forever.

Agreed FIL took me there talking it up and saying how good it is. Would have rather been at red zep

So if you have 1-2 owners, 1-2 people can keep up with an entire restaurant on a weekend? I’d say it’s best to close over pissing off your customer base over slow service that can’t keep up. You’d be the first one on here bitching if you had to wait 3 hours for your pizza because there were only 2 workers.

Most local traditional places across the country are totally overhyped, but their roots in the community supersede the taste. Going into that dark crammed place that hasn’t ever changed and getting a square pizza and a cold beer brings me back to my childhood and good memories. Great nostalgia.
Ain’t nothing wrong with McDonalds, bro. There’s plenty of consumers for both McDonalds and the other burger place. Same with pizza. I love burgers and I love pizza, the more options, the better. Such a stupid thing to whine about.

While silly, they should just charge $20 a spot.

frick off bitch. They make a point of towing patrons of businesses across the street when they’re not open. Sounds like something you would do but you’d also be a condescending prick while doing it.

On that news Totinos Pizza stock takes a hit.

They usually close for a week or two in the summer — this goes way back before COVID.
I like the pizza there, but the service is pretty awful. I remember going there some random weekend night, way before COVID, and being told it would take some crazy amount of time to get a pizza. Plus, it’s cash only

It's a liability issue that their insurance company probably demands they do.

I eat a few of those a year. I like the smell and the nostalgia. I've had some good times with friends there. Some that are no longer around. Make no mistake, it's not run by the glee club. It's like getting pizza from the soup Nazi. You should thank them for being bothered enough to serve you. It's been like that for years.

Its not.
Theyve had people go to her place and order pizzas and try to go across the street to have the pizza with actual good beer. The second they bring the pizza across the street, she calls the tow company.
The owner sucks and I hope she goes out of business. This has nothing to do with her insurance company lol
