Let's start branching out now. We'll have to in order to keep this thing going.

I think we should all do the same dish every so often, to see all of the variations. We could also have a random category such as appetizer, brunch entree, best three small plates, soup, braise, and so forth.

I think we’ll have to branch out at some point. Other than proteins I think specific dishes could work or cooking methods. If I ever win I would do something like stuffing or dressing, which can vary greatly. (I’m in no danger of winning, however.)

What have we done so far?

Chicken
Pork Tenderloin
Pork ribs
Beef short ribs
Shrimp
Fish

The incredible, edible egg.

Incredible edibles would be fun also.

hope our non-winners can maintain their enthusiasm to continue to participate. It was great seeing new names in the challenge.

I had fun making my dish even though I missed the deadline. Looking forward to doing more challenges

Chicken
Pork ribs
Beef short ribs
Shrimp

The 3 food challenges I won in 2014 included: tuna , store bought rotisserie chicken, and ribeye steak. One challenge had chicken livers, pumpkin. Previous winners: Meridian Dog, B&T coonhound, & Darla.

Pork tenderloin.

My one, and likely only, win.

Ribeye included wasabi peas which I had never heard of. I have since had a container on my desk for snacking during work.

I made a hummus with those in one of those challenges. It was the same time I made the chicken liver chili.

Which one had a candy cane in it? Mine was pretty but tasted craptastic.

I posted pics of the dishes in the first post. If you want them 3, 2, 1, start from the bottom.

This one.

I was entry 5. The liver one was a different challenge, I see. 2014 was a long time ago.

I wish that had pics still. I remember seeing those threads but I was too drunk in the original bourbon thread

I never participated in them but they were fun to read. Maybe we could bring back that format for the next challenge. Who's up for white chocolate, caviar, cauliflower, & parmesan cheese?
