Anyone planning on going to this? I really want to go, and I've never been to the past years' events. For those who have been, how is it?

If the new job and everything aligns with this schedule, I think I'm going to attend the event on the 24th. Does it usually sell out or anything?

I've been to it a couple of times because I got free tickets through my old job. It's pretty good, but it gets very crowded and the lines for the popular dishes can get long. I didn't go last year, so I don't know what the setup is like at Crowne Plaza (used to be at the Belle Atrium). It's a good place to discover new wines and the local chefs get a chance to show off.

Lines are what I'm afraid of. Not that it's anything similar, but I keep thinking of Taste of Tiger Tailgate.. where all the lines were insane. It's hard to justify $50/person if the lines will be so long you won't really get your money's worth.

But if it's not overcrowded, I'd like to see how it is.

I've been the last two times.

I have gotten there early and lines haven't been a problem for me, but I noticed them backing up for some of the more popular items later on

Not that bad.

Well, I'll tell you this, you get some good food, but it's not worth $50 in terms of value IMO. But the proceeds go to the Epicurean society and they do some good things w/ the proceeds.

I'll be going again. I suggest getting there early. It's a lot of shoulder rubbing involved with this event as expected, but I enjoy it as a whole.
