The multiple listings of Santa Fe Java in this thread leads me to believe that at $8.99-9.99 per 6-pack, that beer is at the top of the Best Bang for your Buck beer lists.
I think so. I spread out when I drink them too so it helps to not see a $9 6-pack evaporate in 2 days. I usually drink one each weekend day for a few weeks.

I've been on a kick the past 2 months where I drink one probably every other evening after the wife and I put the kids to bed and watch something on the idiot box.
I sleep pretty well after, too.

yea i think you heard that wrong... even 50mg would be a ton for a beer. coffee beers have barely any actual caffeine in them
They might be wrong, but thats definitely what they said. One guy said it was 300mg and the other laughed and said no its more like 500.
There is someone from the board over there every day buying beer, someone ask and report back.

That number keeps getting reported and frankly it's highly unlikely.
Founders Sumatra was very nice and may still be available some places.

There's about 100mg in a cup of coffee. So 50 in a beer would be astronomical.

Not 50...FIVE HUNDRED, bro! Can you even read numbers?

I can! I was saying even 50 would be a lot, much less 300 or 500.

It is a lot but an normal (8oz) cup of coffee has between 95-200mg of caffeine
LINK
While espresso typically has 77mg of caffeine per 1.5 oz shot
LINK
Given this 300-500mg of caffeine for a 10-14 oz snifter of the parish beer isn't really that inconceivable.
Again, the guys working there could certainly be wrong, but that is what they were discussing as a reason for not bottling it on Saturday.

And?
Beer generally does not have caffeine. Coffee does, and that's where you would be getting your caffeine in this beer from. So you're saying that a 10 oz. pour of Reve has roughly 2.5 times the amount of coffee as an 8 oz cup of coffee? Or are they just adding fricking truck stop Yellow Jackets, or whatever those caffeine pills are called, to the brew process?
And you're saying that isn't unbelievable? Uhhhhhh...
ETA: Just got off the phone with the taproom. They said, and I quote, "There's about 300 mg of caffeine per serving."
So they are definitely consistent in their position
Doesn't seem legit to me, but...

That was my only point, and as I said before, the other guy laughed and corrected him and said more like 500 on Saturday.

They definitely claim it. I dunno that I believe it. At this point I've consumed roughly 600 mg of caffeine, if those numbers are to be believed. So three cups of coffee, more or less. By the second cup I'm pretty wired. Right now I kinda just wanna stretch out on the couch and sleep.

Gonna be some pre-ban Four Loko shite going down in Laffy. Holy shite.

FWIW, I took a nap after about 24 oz. of Rêve. Then Infinished the crowler. Feeling great now.

There's no way each one is like 600mg of caffeine. That's around 5 cups of coffee. Maybe that's how much coffee grounds go in per serving but through the brewing process it probably gets changed. Just an amateurs opinion.

I don't know anything about coffee measurements, and I don't like coffee beers at all (I know I'm in the minority), but some of the Four Loko stories are fricking scary and hilarious. 'Blacking out' and awakening to playing Xbox is fricked up. Most of my blackouts resulted in bad circumstances

Tweak from Avery is the best coffee stout I've ever had. Very, very intense flavor

How's your old man baw?
Thanks for asking! He's doing really well. He should be driving next week, and in another 10 days after that (very conservative) able to get back to work full time. I shamed him pretty hard about his diet tonight. Too many years of boudin, cracklins, and eating well. He will have the same procedure every five years or so, but knowing that decreases the cause for alarm exponentially. Docs have him on the "good meds," so his cholesterol and BP should remain in the good zone. My stepmother is a great lady, and I trust her to keep him on a good diet. That combined with him being very physically active due to work should keep him doing well. Medicine is good. We are lucky to live in a time where we know what we do and can control things like we can.
