I can't say enough good stuff. And just an all-around great guy too.

5BD absolutely gorgeous

Solid sour. I think I expected it to be a little better because of the color, but it's still good.

Wish we would have got some of the Crooked Stave shipment. Oh well. I'm supposed to have a box from CO at my house when I get home that should have some.

And possibly some Casey as well.

He gets crazy color on his beers.

My wife's uncle bought a beach house in Miami and we are going to try to make it down there this summer. Making it to J. Wakefield is a top priority.

I thought it was very good. If you want some, befriend the brewer.

How similar is that to a Belgian Kriek?

I suppose it's in the same ballpark. I wouldn't put this up there with true lambic, though. It's still good. Just not on that same level.

JWackfield is a frick head of the highest order. The bottles he sold of the dfpf leaked so the dipshit waxed em like that would help. I ponied up $300 a few years to get that brewery open and I will never give him another dime of my money. I bought a bunch of donor bottles years ago also that were supposed to be a one time only beer made special for that, well it was fricking master blaster which he makes all the fricking time. He also said he would ship my bottles to me so that I didn't have people show up to his donor party to get them. He asked for a label and waited for the party to pass then never responded to me again.

Before you pony up $9 for a 12oz pour of a 4% kettle sour, you should do a little research on this cat. He has been dicking people over for years. Bad trader, sending half empty kegs to festivals, the list goes on...........

...and then there's that.

J. Wakefield has a shite reputation. I've not had the beer, but I hear it's good. And I've heard he's trying to correct some of the problems. But he screwed the pooch initially.

How? He isnt correcting shite. He is blocking you on instagram or twitter if you call him out instead of just laughing at you like he did before so I guess that is a correction.

Let me rephrase -- setting it up so the bullshite doesn't happen again. I think if you were screwed over initially you're not gonna have that addressed. Kind of a, "Welp, I fricked up, but I learned," approach. Not really a let me make it better approach.
