Thank you sir, I certainly try. I'd say it's pretty good to be you as well.

Rouge...it's waterproof and it's no more than 5 feet deep in most places. This is also Oregon water, it's clear. I swim in parts anyway. It goes in....I'm in.

What style(s) of beer does your buddy like? You can't go wrong with Parish for any of the styles they brew--the IPAs/DIPA in particular. Gnarly Barley also makes great hoppy beers. Tell us what kind of beers he drinks and we'll give you suggestions. The craft beers available in BR/LA are really good compared to a few years ago and are very trade worthy. Ghost in the Machine in particular has a great rep around the country.

He likes everything- DIPA, IPA, Stouts, Session Ales, etc. I have some Ghost in the fridge I plan on sending and I'm going to try to find some Juicifer because that seems like the other one I see often on here. Unfortunately I haven't seen it the last two times I have gone to Calandros.

The Deschutes is pretty shallow, and slow moving through Bend. They have a nice setup where you put a raft in the water right near the Deshutes main production facility, and float for a couple of hours and then catch a shuttle back to where you start. Repeat.

FBDs- Critical Band, at lunch with my Dad.
