Your local battleship or upscale grocer would be a good spot to go. As has been suggested on here many times, a lot of places have "build a 6-pack" deals, so you can try a varied of styles and figure out what you like.
Mich Ultra has a very mild flavor profile and has a low ABV, so you may start with some milder beers and work your way up. A double IPA might fast like turpentine to you, so try some pale ales, like Dales Pale Ale or Sierra Nevada Pale ale...

the general suggestion is to start with something a little more "mainstream" (like sierra nevada or something similar) and move on from their. Personally, when i switched to drinking good beer around 5 years ago, i jumped head first in and tried an IPA. I loved it from the first sip
Just remember, if you try a craft beer and don't like it, it means you don't like that beer, not that you don't like all craft beer. keep trying stuff and it won't take long to realize good beer is objectively better that mass produced beer, much like (i imagine) most everyone would agree a prime cut ribeye is a better than cube steak.

Is IPA a brand name or is it an abbreviation of something? Oh, I will definitely be trying a few. I seen so many posted I'll probably do the build a 6 pack at a time.

Probably the most popular style of craft beer. It is very hoppy, and usually somewhat bitter, so it can be an acquired taste. Good ones have a nice hoppy bite up front that can be citrusy, tropical, or piney, while there can be some lingering bitterness. Generally, IPAs are best when consumed fresh - within a couple of months of brewing.
If in LA, pick up Parish's Envie or Great Raft's Commotion. The aforementioned Dale's Pale Ale (by Oskar Blues) and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale are great brews in this style.
I'm mentioning those because I don't want you to decide you don't like a particular style of beer because you chose a poor representative of that particular style.

Nbd is a margarita gose. This was bottled back in august and I swear none of the flavors have faded. Still as good as the first time I had it back in September. Which is good because I have truck loads of it
