You know, when 8th Wonder started canning, I picked up some Hoptston cans that were about 25-30 days old that were pretty good.

A month later, I pick up some cans that were only about 4 days or so old, and it just as well have been a watered down barleywine. Haven't bought any since.

I'm grilling in a winter wonderland. It feels good out here. Temps just below freezing and very little humidity.

Ehh....Full Nelson and Project Dank from LaCumbre are top of the top tier for me still. Something's just happened with Elevated. Even my coworker agreed.

Also, who the shite you calling old, baw?

I've been drinking and loving Elevated for years, but the last batch I got was off. We talked about it. I guess it has changed.

Man...I know I'm in the minority, but I liked the November batch. I don't want my beer tasting too much like an orange. (I know that's not exactly what Batch 4 tasted like. I enjoyed 4.)

The Brash Pussy Wagon I had this past weekend had that good dank/juice balance I love. Tell them dudes to keep that up.

Missed out on the 8th Wonder Golden Age -- but it's disappointing. Had a great Citra smell when I cracked it. If it was marked as a Maltston or an English IPA that'd be one thing, but to bastardize the city with this swill is very disheartening.

From their website:
quote:

Most people are familiar with India Pale Ales and West Coast IPAs, but let us welcome you to Hopston, TXIPA. This hoppy, malty brew is balanced and approachable; enjoyable year round, and perfectly suited for the hot Texas summer. Brewed with Cascade and Citra hops, Hopston comes through in the clutch.

lol

NBD is this one of these guys -- haven't had since the buyout, but was left in the fridge too. Their only offering I would seek out fresh:

If your buddy brings you a reasonably fresh 6-er of Bosque, you won't be disappointed. It'll easily replace Elevated for you.

Also, maybe try Marble's IPA. The new recipe seems to be working out well.
