They would be highly impressed with the wings done on my $10 garage sale smoker.

FBD - is an IPA from Ferment Brewing. So the head brewer here used to be the head brewer at pFriem. He quits pFriem and opens up Ferment Brewing, which is even nicer than pFriem, two doors down. Josh pFriem encouraged it, apparently. So you have this town called Hood River (population 8,000), that has pFriem, Ferment, Double Mountain, Full Sail, Logsdon, and Everybody's Brewing (right across the river in Washington. Sick. The combo of Ferment and pFriem right on the Columbia River is with the trip alone.

I’m pretty sure I’d get “the look” if I told my wife I was leaving her in a hotel with kids who’ve been cooped up in a car all day

No doubt, but maybe you could get away with a quick beer run.

NBD is going to be some sort of Alesmith Speedway Stout. Anybody got a favorite? They got:

Regular
Hawaiian
Mokasida Coffee
Vietnamese Coffee
Nibs and Beans
Thai
Celestial Downs (with Modern Times)
BA Mexican

Thinking the BA Mexican... Change my mind

My grandma lives in LC. It’s a wasteland. ABC Fine Wine & Spirits on 90 had fresh Cigar City, Halpatter was alright. Went by Marion St Deli and Pub, food was junk but somewhat alright taplist. People watching is incredible.

I didn’t care for that one at all, at least not at a “DIPA”. Was NOLA going for a Malibu and Pineapple flavor?

Just didn’t taste like a beer to me, even compared to other juicy IPAs. My opinion, though. Don’t expect everyone to feel the same. Tastes are always subjective.
