Yeah, it will be tough to beat last years. I will look forward to them trying every year.
The process they go through is that they try several recipes and don't call them 3-Way, but give them a name like "Beta 7.0". They select one of the Beta recipes to be the 3-Way that hits the shelves. It's fun, to try the Beta's and figure out which one will become 3-Way.
One of the Beta's this year, was much more to my taste than the one they picked. It was so dank, I was sure they would chose it. I think it was Beta 7.2. I think they ended up going with the more sessionable one because they thought they might sell more of it, because it is an easy drinker...
I beg to differ, because I'll bet a lot of 3-Way last year was sent across the country in BXN's, because it was so good. I'm hoping they make a big DIPA next year.

Been a while since I had a beer. France was all wine. In Rome now and stumbled into a place with wifi. Happened to be a craft beer bar. Go figure.

I popped my head in there a few minutes ago but it was super packed. Will maybe try and hit it up in a bit or tomorrow. And yeah I love this neighborhood, so many interesting bars and restaurants and cafes. We are staying in an airbnb right across the river.
Also bir&fud hasn't got the memo that Jai Alai is no longer a Goat IPA, they displaying that shite.

Yea, that neighborhood is really cool. That's where we stayed. Very unique and energetic. I loved the maze of alleys.
The bar across the street is supposed to be world class. I went couple times. They had a small, but very well curated taplist.
Open Balladin is another cool place to check out. All Italian craft beer bar, not too far away.

The pussification of America has entered the craft beer market. Once a time just to brew the best beer possible; now that the market is getting more diluted it turns into dollars and cents.
I'll go ahead and Downvote myself for attempting any type of forward thinking...but I see this as more of a trend than a one-off. Would be interested to hear what yall counter with

Just got home from a long day at the office and finally joining the fun.
FBD is an Envie. This beer is very good again.

I picked up the last 2 bottles today at Central Market. Upon checkout, the person loading my bag accidentally popped the top off one. She literally just picked it up and it busted off and spewed everywhere. The cashier then goes "oh damn that smells good I'm gonna lick it off my arm" 
The same thing happened to the sticky hands Jax gave me and a Nola Lowerline I was using as a BXN.

Cheers to all. I'm taking a break after Monday nights tasting. That one packed a wallop. Some really good beers I was very lucky to be able to partake of...even left with some parting gifts.
The standouts for me were:
BB9: legit and maybe the best of the series...unreal.
Prairie Noir aged in apple brandy barrels: maybe the best beer I have ever tasted
Parabola: fan freaking tastic...it was the finale of the night so I imagine it was even better than thought
Bourbon County Brand Coffee stout: this one blew away the regular BCBS...awesome beer.
Honorable mention: divine reserve 13 from st. Arnold. This was the Belgian quad...tasted awesome and picked up some additional caramel flavor in the past year.
The standouts for me were:

FBD-Southern Star Half Nelson IPA. Like a lot of their beers, nothing remarkable, but very drinkable. No pic, as the Information Superway seems to have failed to put an exit ramp in Galveston.
