Someone else's turn to carry the torch. I didn't get to sleep until 1:30 AM or so, woke up around 4 to help with a hungry kiddo, and then the alarm went off at 5:30. I'm running on fumes.

First beer stop in Houston for the gf’s Birthday is Cobble & Spoke, a little tap house on the West side of the city. First beer is the second batch of Jester King’s Super Ultramega Hyperforce Saison.
I love JK. This beer is lightly sweet, but tart. Lightly floral and herbal. Dry, but not mouth wringing. It’s so complex and absolutely delicious. Makes me anxious for my next trip to Austin!

Yeah. It’s ridiculous. Their argument is going to be that not only is it barrel aged, it’s essentially double barrel aged and blended for the best quality possible. It’s a little surprising given the market. LA has never seen a $30 beer. Hell, we haven’t here in Boston to my knowledge. I’m very surprised by this. And yet somehow I’m still ISO 1 bottle for asinine personal reasons despite thinking it’s utterly ridiculous. So if anyone wants to get rid of one of their 8 bottles for some ratio of 6-10 cans (basically $4$), let’s talk.
