HA!

It's a very hazy beer when it's poured. The haze clears out a bit but as you know the gueze and lambics are usually a bit cloudy anyway. This is a delicious late night beer as it's lighter in body but full flavored. And you get a bit of burp to clean out the digestion system.

NBD: My fav is the Regal and I'm not a rye guy.

Feel I should start a new thread since I went to sleep then woke up to start drinking early Black Friday.

Avenue was fantastic. Polly put together a wonderful event as always. It was pretty easy to rank them for me.

Regal Rye > BCBS > BCBW >>>> Rare

Regal Rye and base BCBS were VERY close, but I enjoyed the derivative flavors of RR just a hair more. I thought this year's barleywine drank really well, better than last year, but it's going to be killer with age. Rare was just hot as hell. It had some nice smoke and char once it settled to room temp, but the time in the barrel seriously affected it. I could see where after a year or two it would be fantastic, but right now it drinks like an aperitif.

Now that I'm home I'm enjoying some hops with a little souvenir to remember the night.
