Well well well...imagine my surprise, after my last few "real BBQ in NYC" attempts, when I realize that this place is directly across from my hotel in Brooklyn. I said in my review of the last shitty BBQ place in Midtown, if you can't smell the smoke when you walk up, it's not real BBQ. Well, this place is legit. And probably why it's busy.

I know, a long winded post for FBD. 3BD is a brooklyn winter lager.

ETA: Platters are on the other side and I will absolutely be going brisket and St Louis ribs (or pulled pork).

Went "petit" because I had a huge burger at 3. But got to try 3 meats and 2 side. Pork is fantastic. Brisket good, but I didn't get a ton to make a ruling. Ribs are really good, but they definitely finish them on a grill or under some form of high heat. Both sides had meat in them which is big for me. I'd stay at this hotel again just to get BBQ a couple times a visit.

I’m a sucker for sides at a barbecue joint and those beans and greens both look great.

My first question every time is do the beans have meat in them. If so I get them. The greens were ordered because they were less filling than carbs but I enjoyed them. Had smoked turkey in them.

Dinosaur BBQ is a regional chain up there. I went to one in Troy, NY, when my son was attending RPI. I was surprised at the quality of the BBQ. That was back in 2012 and I still lived in the south.

I'm still looking for a good BBQ joint in Indy. I have a few leads, but so far it's been mediocre.
