I got your back Kimmie. You can argue ZD is better. But its not on a different level.

I have no problem arguing that. Zombie Dust is world class. THA is an easy drinking IPA that's vastly overrated. It's good, don't get me wrong, but people treat it like liquid gold.

Of course Citra > Centennial

They are also arguing that Envie is above average and it is not. I want to like Envie because it is local and Parish has great promise, but Envie is a step in the wrong direction from a brewery that wants to stand out.

I'd say lateral, but tomato potato.

Honesty, the brewmaster/owner talked about how great their amber was, but wouldn't release it because it was boring. WTF? If it is better than anything release it. At least special release.

Just curious if you've had it on tap? It is SO much better on tap.

I have not tried it on tap, just bottle. I want to think it is good, but I found it to be meh.

this one is not very good. Alot of metal/sulphur on the nose and more metal on the taste. Drinkable but def some off flavors.

Yikes I hate when beers take on a metallic flavor. No thanks.

FBD-3BD were two Envies and a Ranger kicked back on the couch with the dog watching The Doors live at the Hollywood Bowl on VH1 Classic.

This is why I am so disappointed in Envie. I've never been to the brewery, but friends have told me how ambitious the owner is--make great beers to compete with the best, etc. Envie is not a step in that direction IMO.

Nice night!. I'm watching MLB tonight .. Angels @ Royals close game in the 9th.

SBD / Odell IPA - Super citrus right off the bat then throws you a curve ball of dry hops and sits you down with the 7% ABV. Not a home run but a definite laced double down the LF line.

You'd be the one to tell. About to book a weekend in Tampa for a nice solo get away. Going check out the Rays and Giants and have a few brews at cigar city.

Going to be a good time, cotton.

Good call. I like Tampa a lot. I'll be there that first weekend of Aug. too to visit my buddy and go to Rays/Giants.

Yeah I was flipping aimlessly until I decided to get out of the HD channels and found this. May switch to Woodford and a book soon though.

Or maybe another craft beer + some Palladia. That'd be a solid night.
