Science! Is 5/7 as good as 5/1?
It is early, but I've switched to brown here. It was a long week.

I'm one and done. A Friday of middle schoolers and then a few more hours working a second job just for fun has a way of sapping you. I figured I’d grab a little summer gig because I go nuts without the structure of a job, but there’s a few weeks of overlap. Thursday especially will be brutal. Oh well, I like’em both, so LIG
This one is interesting. Before JC and Esther started Trillium, JC was a homebrewer with a 9-to-5. Their go-to spot because it was near to their home was this phenomenal bar out in Brookline called The Publick House. It’s a little far out, but it’s absolutely worth a visit. The T drops you off not far from it at all. Anyway. They would regularly drink there, and JC always used to dream of one day being able to walk into his favorite bar and order a beer he brewed. Fast forward years later, Trillium is suddenly a sensation and people everywhere are clamoring for his beer. Regardless, Trillium continues to be somewhat hard to find on draft, but a few places have it regularly. The Publick House is one of those. The base of this beer was brewed specifically for The Publick House. Brewed with Citra/Centennial/Columbus hops, it’s different from the rest of their lineup. Markedly more bitter, and certainly more piney than many of their IPAs. That’s not a criticism. It’s a well-made beer. Quite enjoyable as a nightcap.

Little known fact, Melvin (head brewer of melvin) actually built his brewery out of 2x4s with his bear hands (you read it right). Consequently, the brewery collapsed and they had a construction company build the new one. This beer is old world. This beer is Pacific Northwest. Piney resiny 5 week old goodness
