OBD and first since Saturday. It's been one hell of a work week and the train is just starting to get rolling

This one is a pretty good just straight up IPA--nothing fancy, very balanced, crushable but not overly memorable.

I was largely underwhelmed by Hoof Hearted. They look sexy, but the flavors didn't deliver. There was no finesse. Just a massive hop obliteration that doesn't really...taste good. It was the hop equivalent to a hot sauce that only adds heat without flavor.

I dunno if that makes sense. That's what my palate said. I did enjoy the Equinox one, though.

See I loved Hoof Hearted between equinox and sauvin, the konky dong, and the musk...

I liked Equinox, I said that. Sauvin to me was the best I've had of that hop. That's kinda like saying it was the best possum dish I've ever had. I just don't think I care for possum. I didn't have Musk, Konkey was just okay. I don't think trading for IPAs is something I want to do much of. Unless it's Tree House, Trillium, Bissel Brothers. I gave Hoof a shot because of their ridiculous look, and I'm glad I did, but I wouldn't do it again. I'd rather just drink the trade bait I gave up.

Understandable, but for me, I'm trying to get my hands on any and every IPA that I hear is good. Cracking a Trillium Congress Street growler tomorrow night, got some Juice Machine in a trade today, and have some Second Fiddle coming down the pipeline next week.

I'm all about new beers right now

Beers yesterday:

Sierra Nevada Beer Camp Tropical IPA - smells like weed indeed, taste is OK, but not as solid as the aroma.

Homebrewed brown IPA

Great Raft Grace and Grit imperial amber ale

Tin Roof Parade Ground coffee porter - don't like it this year, got tetu'd.

Homebrewed hoppy wheat - half a glass to kill the keg

Homebrewed coffee vanilla porter that I found a bottle of in the dark beer fridge. No clue when I bottled it, but it was still tasty and delicious.
