FBD Homebrew Zappa Dust IPA

So great getting an email from her. Congrats in advance. Sbd last ethos ipa. I can't decide what I think about this beer. Sometimes it tastes to malty (imo) then the next sip will taste nice and balanced with hop and citrus. I'll have to email carin and get some more and do some side by side next time.
What was the verdict on the noble rot? I had never had a beer like that and remember being really happy with it, but that was a rough day.

You can't compare 120 to other IPAs. It's just a different beast that stands on its own.
I'm aging a couple now to see where they go

What did you think of this? I still have a bottle in my cabinet and I'm debating drinking it soon versus trying to age it. I haven't been successful in aging much yet because I usually give up and drink it.
I agree with UT. It was very nice. Had a bright hoppiness to it and lightly sweet. Not cloying at all. Great beer.

SBD / Surly Bitter Brewer - nice and zesty with a mild hop finish that stays with you. Very enjoyable. At only 4% ABV I could drink several of these by a pool on a hot day.

I cracked a bottle open with my dad a couple months back and it was so malty I regretted it. Made me really appreciate Parish Grand Reserve.

They were rolling in boxes of the 120 at specs when I left. I just don't feel like it's worth the price, and I will rDaly admit that at the expense of ny wallet that is something I never care about. Idk I did not get the hype, no desire to really have another one unless someone gifts it.

OK, you twisted my arm. It's going in the fridge. Happy Memorial Day to me.
Next BD is a Southern Tier 2XIPA.

sorry for the Hijack...this is addressed to Rouge and theChosenOne...are ya'll still planning on grabbing beers tomorrow? I could break off for lunch for a cold one.
Posted on 5/22/13 at 9:24 pm to TigerHam85
Yeah it's got a nice lemony/grapefruit flavor. Just enough sweetness + bitterness to make it all work.

Side question for the board, do y'all snack while you drink? I've been pooping down edamame while I watch playoffs. I think they work well because they are mild and somewhat filling. I dunno salt on top but nothing else, curious if anyone uses something to inflame the taste buds.

Age the 120 only gets better.....shite is amaze either way

Not really. If I do it's always something sweet. I almost always keep in the house a box of these butterscotch blondies that Fresh Market bakery sells. They're like crack to me and can really make a beer sing.
