How was Zwanze Day? I wanted to go out but didn't want to sit all day at Avenue. Saw most of the stuff y'all had on Untapped and looked great, although some of he reviews had me wondering based on my experience.

It's not for everyone. Polly and the staff did an excellent job at managing the event, and it was incredibly smooth. I was able to land in group 2, so I spent almost the entire day upstairs. That probably contributed to my experience.

I actually had no problem with that -- fact, it was one of the better parts of the experience. I got there at 5:45 and I was the first person there. I made a friend within an hour, and it turns out were both there to meet ut, so I made the rest of the day with that group. I also knew a fair amount of people there, so it was really just like sitting in a bar with friends, drinking beer, and watching football.

St. Lam, Rose, and the Kriek are the ones I'd actually trade for. I think Grand Cru is a good beer, but not for me. The Iris Grand Cru was fine.

All in all, it's a beer event. If you are there with people whose company you enjoy, unless it's an utter shitshow, you'll have a good time. Craft beer is about beer, but it's about community as well.

Cool will keep that in mind, 5:45 is a bi early for me on a weekend though I love the style now so it is something I would be interested.

They are really alienating a large portion of their potential market....

I'd go with something less limiting. Maybe something like "Pussy Wagon."

FBD - BB Tank Slapper. 10.2% ABV, and goes down so easy... This is outstanding.

NBD - BB Breakfast Stout. I like it, but its in the solid, but not especially memorable category. I opted for a stout because that Tank Slapper destroyed my pallet...
