FBD - Homebrew at the office.

Hey there gang! Hope your Friday has been as great as mine!
I brought in some of my latest Homebrew to the office today and shared a few glasses of this Hefe-NEIPA I made with my coworker (boss missed out and left early.)
I pretty much made a hybrid Hefeweizen/New England by blending grain bills (adding wheat to a NEIPA) and hopping it like a New England then using Hefe yeast.
IT’S FANTASTIC! The banana esters from the yeast play perfectly with the tropical/stone fruit hops flavors/aromas. It finished a touch lower gravity-wise than I planned, but I feel like that helps it drink more like a blend of the styles as Hefe tend to be drier. I don’t mean that to be that it drinks dry though! The high Chlorides I added in my water Chem give it nice body while the higher attenuation mainly add crispness that I think works well with a lighter carbonation.

I love that place. The signs and pictures are funny, lot of fun things to do and the beer is pretty damn good as well.

FoBD is a Live Oak Hefe shared with the gf. Idk about y’all, but my LO Hefes clear up in about two weeks of fridge conditioning. Guess it makes sense, but I like ‘em cloudy. I swirl the last 1/3 of the beer in the can before I pour it once they go clear.

FiBD is a TDHIPA by Tupp’s my buddy brought me back from Austin. It’s not too different from the DDH. Maybe a touch danker? It’s still very good.
