It’s a great style...Paulaner is tasty, but the Weihenstephaner is exceptional, hit the brewery back in 2014...only thing stateside that compares is Live Oak

NBD CCBC All Together
Had a 8hr layover in Munich & made our way over to the Augustiner-Bräu biergarten. It was June so the place was really chill with locals & few of us (tourists), but you could tell by the vastness of the space that the place gets chaotic a certain time of year!

If you mean the Keller (outdoor garten) or the braüstubl near the train station (bierhalle) you are correct. Great spots and even when we went around Easter both were full with lederhosen/dirndl’s.
Apparently Holy Thursday/Saturday are days when the husbands escape to day-drink in tracht.
