It should be very good food. I grew up with Drake back in the day and he could cook well even back then. Ate a few times at Luke while he was there too and it was always good in my opinion.

Probably the same general family. Most of the German families in that area are related and originated in Roberts Cove with the original families in the late 1800s.

I just looked at the menu and prices on yelp.
Wow. Not exactly downhome Eunice cooking, or prices. I don’t think they serve Tuna tartar or chicken liver “mousse” in Eunice. Pretty sure a burger doesn’t run $17 in that area either.
But I’m enough of a sucker...I’ll still give it a shot soon.

We’ll see. I’m still reserving judgement, but I got a feeling at least the gumbo won’t be on par with what old boy from Grand Isle is serving these days 25 Miles SW of Houston in Needville.
