Has anyone been to the new Emerils? Thinking about taking the lady for a date night soon. Looking for some feedback.

I have been for Friday lunch. It's an experience (and you pay for it). I enjoyed every bit but was stuffed. I couldn't imagine dinner which has more courses.

We did dinner. Lucked out and got seated at one of the two 2-tops in front facing into the kitchen. It was an unbelievably great experience. They took us through the kitchen and all.

The food sounds a lot more boring on the menu than it actually comes out, which is the whole point they're going for. Elevating classics.

It was quite pricey, but we did start with cocktails and then did whatever the premium wine pairing was at the time with each course.

How's about you put a price on pricey? Some people's pricey is another person's average.

If memory serves, it was around $850, with tip for my wife and me. That included the wine pairings and a couple cocktails.

The menu with prices is on their website.

LINK

When we went (different menu from current), I recall several instances you could upgrade items and maybe even there was an extra course offered for an additional charge.

Looks like that’s still the case. Most courses have a choice with an extra charge associated.

I spend a lot of money eating out and on other entertainment but I have to draw the line somewhere…850 for two to dine is way over that line. I’m sure it’s excellent but I’d rather go twice or three times to his Portuguese place for that money

Most we’ve spent in the city for two was just over $500 at Stella! I’m impressed Emeril’s is pulling that down.

I’ll go 500 once or twice a year. I’d just rather spend that 850 over a few different meals

That's not bad at all. Emeril's is definitely on my list.

Went for an anniversary dinner. Sat by the front viewing window. Like others said it was over $800 with wine pairing for the two of us. I do think it was an incredible experience and I never thought I would agree with spending that much money on a meal. I will say it's better than many of the Michelin restaurants I've been to.
