Emeril's New Orleans- Recommend?

Wife and I are meeting another couple in N.O. Next weekend. They have never been to N.O.
Looking for a good restraunt suggestion-moderate price range. They want that "New Orleans Experience" type of place
We made a reservation at Emeril's (have never been there). Is this a good choice ? Other ideas?

Emeril's is a great restaurant. I wouldn't say it is in the moderate price range though.
For a little lower price point, consider Muriels.

I've never been to Emeril's but I've heard the food is good. However, many posters here will say NOLA is the best Emeril-owned restaurant here. I'm actually going there tonight so I'll let you know if it lives up to the hype (and how delicious the menu sounds).

I like emeril's more but both are awesome

Never had a bad meal there, I'm sure they'll like it. However make sure they know that no restaurant in New Orleans can capture all of the true New Orleans dining experience!
