I was coming to post this dish. That might be one of the best entrees in the city

think that natchitoches meat pie is calling my name

Elsie's Natchitoches meat pie is better than Lasyone's. In Natchitoches.

Elsie's is great except for one thing, which maybe someone can explain to me. Their "Pie Shop Apple Pie" is apple pie ingredients in a cast iron skillet with crust on top. My issue with it is that it's served hot, which means it isn't set. So it's apple pie soup with a crust. I don't get it.

The only thing ive had there that id never get again is the pie nachoes.

Its just the crust of the pies fried and topped with fruit. that crust is best baked. it sounds delicious, but it doesnt work. I applaud the creativity.. but it doesnt work.

Funny, that’s the one thing I wouldn’t get again too. Almost posted that in here. Great idea, but just isn’t as good as it sounds.
