If your kids are 13 and 9 they're old enough to behave at L'Italiano in Bossier City. The best Italian food in Shreveport or Bossier. It's white table cloth stuff but not that expensive.

Monjunis is second best and they have a location in Bossier and two in Shreveport.

Strawns has 3 places...Bossier on Airline Drive, Shreveport on Youree and next to Centenary College. It's OK.

I don't like the food at Superior. If you want good Mexican that's not a chain go to Mariachis which is near the Century Tell Center and Parkway HS. It's also very inexpensive.

I don't recommend Herby K's. Good place to get shot, like their last owner.

A) If you avoid neighborhoods where people have been shot, no one would live in Shreveport Bossier.
B) "last owner" implies that there is a new owner, which there is not.
C) Since the shooting they have hired Shreveport Police to sit out front at all times.
D) Stay in Bossier, Zach.

That's not only false but it's patently stupid.

I'm pretty sure the guy who is dead is no longer there.

This is not necessary in Bossier.

That's why I moved there from Shreveport. And there seems to be a trend in my direction.

The problem with this is that there is a friggin train track by EVERY hotel in bossier city. I like the Clarion on East 70th. Used to be a Sheraton and the rooms are huge. I believe it was recently renovated. In fact they charge you $250.00 if you smoke in a non-smoking room.

That hotel is very near where I lived in Shreveport before I moved (University Terrace). It's a rip off. Get a motel on I-20 and you can access any Shreveport or Bossier restaurants.

Herby K sounds really interesting.

I am the adventurous type. I have actually eaten at this little Chinese place East 70th St not far from the Interstate. It is a converted gas station but the food is good.

The fam and I go there weekly.

The Blind Tiger is my favorite restaurant in Shreveport. Great Cajun food at good prices. It's at the corner of Texas St. and Market St. downtown.

The Olive Street Bistro is a seldom mentioned but extremely good Italian/Mediterranean place that has the best atmosphere in town. It's on Olive Street, just off of Fairfield.

I agree, go to Trejo's at least once every time I go home. Strawn's is great as well.

Oh my bad, I though you knew something I didn't since you thought the Clarion was a rip off.

The place closed down a few years ago. Too much travel time compared to all the places on Youree.
