There's like 40 breweries in Charlotte. I like Legion, Birdsong, and Resident Culture. Sycamore and Olde Mecklenburg get the biggest crowds.

If you make a stop in Columbia, hit up Conquest.

NODA, Legion, OMB.

OMB has the best atmosphere/beer garden, but brewed to German beer laws, so don’t go there expecting ipa’s, sours, or anything inventive. Just solid beers. But Sugar Creek is walking distance from OMB so you can get more beer variety there.

Take a detour and hit Creature Comforts in Athens.

Adds very little drive time.

Are you looking for recs in bham or more in between the two? Also, what type of beer are you into?

Ah, no. Good People and Cahaba make some good beers. There's nothing between Bham and ATL that I am aware of.

Excellent. Thanks for the heads up. I figured Anniston would have something. Have you been by there?

Space is pretty cool. Beer is average. Not bad, just nothing blew me away. Food was okay. For Anniston, its not a bad place.
