I didn’t know any of the family other than Max, although his dad and a couple of brothers were familiar to me because of shopping at various Adrien’s locations.

I knew they owned the strip where Max’s is and Adrien’s was, but didn’t know it extended to the beauty salon or Chris’s. Interesting.

I thought the family home was on Flossmore back in the day?

And I agree about Adrien’s French bread!

Drago’s building

I forgot the number exactly, but I recall the note on that place is painfully high.

Do you recall what the rent is? I thought I remember when Dragos first opened it was mentioned it was $15k/month.

i don't know if anything will make it in that location - the parking is terrible. cornerbar dominates and hogs most of the parking it seems

I must’ve been comatose not to have heard of a place called Booties!

Same concept as Hooters but with stars and stripes outfits.

I remember that location because of the failed restaurants and because it was where The Real Superstore once was.

Has the future for Don's downtown been publicly announced yet?

Not that I’m aware of. My couple times going, didn’t seem to have nearly the atmosphere of the Don’s near Camellia. The bar area of that Don’s seems always packed.

Sometimes I think it would be nice if they had an area for small bands to play, but that would just takeaway seating and standing space away from that bar area, which is where I’m sure they’re generating nice cash.

Perhaps they'll open another El Paso in that location which would probably succeed.

Or another LaRumba. That place has to be a front for something else, because it ain’t really good but they’re popping up all over Acadiana.

I do know a little about the main part of what’s going in there but can’t find anything online so it’s probably a little premature.

I thought the new investors were gonna remodel the bldg into 3-4 smaller office spaces. Ideal for someone looking to work downtown that can operate out of a small room office.

Sounds like the old Calendar's location in BR on Perkins. That thing has been more restaurants than I can name.
I had a gift certificate to the Peruvian restaurant that’s there now - not many ppl in there - food was good but waitresses were terrible

They originally had a brewery with taproom lined up that fell through.

Word is Bayou Teche took their place and will be opening a second brewing location in most of it. They should do well there and fill the void that was left by Wurst Biergarten folding
