At Chimes yesterday. Even though I knew the answer I had to ask if they had GITM. No of course but they recommended Dr. Hoptagon.
I thought it was pretty good. I expect hoppy though when "hop" is part of the name. Not so much.
But dayum!! It was the worst looking beer I've ever had. I got a look at it with the sun shining on it. Motor oil would have been an improvement. It was more like mud colored. Just horrrible looking.
I'm laughing about it. Not complaining. I'd have it again despite the look but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it.

I had one last night and I was also disappointed.
I moved on to a Devil's Harvest. What's with the flavor crystal crap? Little bits at the bottom.

This batch of Dr hop is pretty good to me. Tons of hoppiness and just enough dark malt to make it interesting. Appearance wise it does seem a little lighter than usual.

Had some bottled Dr. Hoptagon recently, thought it was fine and much like I remember from years past.
