Does tequila go bad?

Title says it all. We want to make some margs and have some tequila that we don't know when we bought it. Does it go bad? Thanks.

I don't think so but I know what it does to me. The first shot is like a warm quilt wrapped around my shoulders and makes me very comfortable.
The following 8 shots turn that lovely quilt into a cape which makes me want to jump off buildings.
Yeah...I gave it up a long time ago.
Now you can pour a shot, put a few drops of Tabasco in it and call it a prairie fire. Those were the days.

Tequila, or any distilled spirit, will never "go bad" as long as it has been stored properly. Even after it has been opened, alcohol will keep indefinitely under optimum conditions. Keep alcohol in a cool dark place with a tight lid and you should have nothing to worry about.
As for your bottle, trust your senses. Smell, swirl, and taste it. If it passes the nose, eye, & lips test then it's gtg.
